This is the full set of
images taken during the 2005 opposition. Observing conditions
here in northern Italy were just about fair as the maximum
height on the horizon of the planet could only reach 42°.
Sadly in the coming years conditions will get even much worse
so we’ll have to wait 6-7 years to get any better result.
All the images were taken
with my current equipment, an STF-Mirage 180mm f/10
Maksutov-Cassegrain mounted on a GP-DX. Imaging device was off
course my old trusty Philips ToUCam-Pro I WebCam. Focal lenght
variable from 5400 mm to 7000 mm with a Televue 3x
Barlow Lens and extension tubes.
